The KAB Foundation was founded by Dayna M Burroughs, the wife of the late Keith Allen Burroughs.
Dayna was inspired to begin the KAB Foundation after the passing of her husband in 2015. Dayna has always had a love of helping people, but when her husband become ill in 2014; she knew there was more to do, and she wanted to do it. 

 

As Dayna became the primary caretaker of Keith, she was faced with many challenges. She had to learn to care for her husband, as if he were a newborn baby, She had to learn to bathe him, get him in and out of bed, feed him at times and encourage him. These were the tasks that she could not do alone everyday, but with the help and support from family and friends, this made Dayna's journey so much easier.

 

In memory of Keith Allen Burroughs, the KAB Foundation has been developed to help families that have a loved one facing a terminal or chronic illness and in need of their support. The KAB Foundation's main focus is to provide support and financial assistance and award scholarships to help affected students further their education. The KAB Foundation will award 4 scholarships to deserving high school seniors from C.E. Murray High, Kingstree Senior High, and Lake City Early College High Schools. One scholarship will also be awarded to a high school senior from Mega Force For Jesus Outreach Ministries in Cades, S.C.

 

At the KAB Foundation, we believe: Give, and it shall be given unto you, good measure pressed down and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that he mete withal, it shall be measured to you again! Today forward, the foundation is still committed to provide spiritual, physical, and/or financial support to those in need!
